Generative art, also known as algorithm art, is art, mostly visual art, of which the design is generated by an algorithm. I like to call my self an algorist, and in my everyday life teach informatics in a high scool in Greece
My passion is creating visual art from algorithms, interactive installations, and automata that transfer my ideas to paper with a pen, pencil, charcoal or colors and brushes. I share that passion with outdoor activities mostly snow related in winter like skiing, mountaineering, snowkiting. During spring and summer i enjoy kitesurfing.
I use opensource tools to create my work like processing.org that is a virtual computer art sketchbook, and purely self made (software and firmware) automata .to bring them to life in paper // canvas // cardboard, like my vertical hanging mechanograph.
